Silent Hill 2 Guide | How to Solve Gemstone Puzzle & Hotel Safe Code

Konami triumphantly returned with the release of Silent Hill 2, a remake of their iconic horror game. This game is infamous for its unusual puzzles, which may be time-consuming and irritating. The remake of Silent Hill 2 is no different. This guide will show you how you can solve the Gemstone Puzzle so that you can access the Hotel Safe Code.

Before heading to the Gem Box and the Break Room Safe, you’ll need to get your hands on all the Gemstones and a Key from the locked suitcase – click the link for all the Puzzle codes – in the Employee Section of the First Floor of the Lakeview Hotel. There are 3 Gemstones:

• Green Gemstone
• Blue Gemstone
• Red Gemstone
  
  

Where to Find the Green Gemstone

To find the Green Gemstone, you’ll need to go to the Kitchen of the Lakeview Hotel; to make your way to the Kitchen, you’ll need to walk through the Cafeteria and Dish Room. You’ll find the Green Gemstone on top of the Kitchen countertop.

Where to Find the Blue Gemstone

To find the Blue Gemstone, you’ll need to go to the Freezer at the Lakeview Hotel; you can access the Freezer by entering through the Pantry.

Where to Find the Red Gemstone

To get your hands on the Red Gemstone, you’ll need to go to the Manager’s Room at the Lakeview Hotel. To access the Manager’s Room, you’ll have to push a cabinet inside the TV Room of the Lakeview Hotel, revealing a hole that you can enter to head inside the Manager’s Room. From there, you can find the Red Gemstone inside a box.

Once you have collected all the Gemstones, it’s time to head to the Gem Box. The Gem Box is located in the Employee Section on the First Floor of the Lakeview Hotel inside the Manager’s Office. To complete the Gemstone Puzzle, you will need to match the box to the painting. Each stone can move one of the pieces in the center. Follow the image to complete the Puzzle.

Once you’ve completed the puzzle, you’ll get a piece of paper with code 7414; go to the Break Room on the same floor to use the code to open the safe. Upon opening the safe, you’ll get a Basement Key, which you can use to get the Little Mermaid Figurine for the Music Box Puzzle and a Video Tape.
