Konami has returned with Silent Hill 2, a remake of the original horror game. This game is known for its odd puzzles, which may be time-consuming and frustrating. The remake of Silent Hill 2 is no different. This guide will demonstrate how you can find and unlock the Bowling Alley Safe.

The Bowling Alley Safe is only attainable once you’ve finished your initial run in the game and start a new playthrough in New Game +; You can find the safe puzzle in Pete’s Bowl-o-Rama on Nathan Street in Western South Vale. The safe is positioned behind the counter.

To unlock the safe, you’ll need to get your hands on a code. To attain the code, you’ll need to head out and make your way to the Northwest End of Nathan Avenue; there will lie a note for the Bowling Alley Safe next to a corpse near Silent Hill Historical Society.

The Note Reads:

“I can leave by not leaving.
I can ONLY leave by not leaving.
The deal is done. He said he left it for me

where they once were
1887”

Though it is vague, this suggests that the code for the Bowling Alley Safe is 1887.

Make your way back to the Bowling Alley Safe and enter the code.
