In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, during Yaya’s first quest, shortly after clearing the castle, you’ll be faced with a decision regarding a monk caught stealing.

We Forgive Him

If you select “We forgive him”, Naoe remembers that Yaya spoke of forgiveness earlier. Yaya agrees with this sentiment and wants to show empathy so they can forgive the monk. This aligns with Yaya’s values and reinforces her outlook on compassion.

We Punish Him

If you choose “We punish him”, Naoe tells Yaya that the monk should be punished. However, Yaya forgives the monk as she believes in mercy.
