If you are playing Crimson Desert and trying to finish the Sanctum of Exaltation in the Pailune region, you might hit a snag. Most of the early sanctuaries and exploration challenges in this open-world action-adventure are simple to get through, but this one has a specific trick.

You will notice that one of the Parcels—or Fusion Reactor pieces—you need is stuck under the water. The game prevents you from using your Axiom Force or Grip on things that are submerged, so you have to find a way to drain the area first in Crimson Desert.

Breaking the Water Barrier

Move toward the section of the wall holding the water in, which is often blocked by ice or weak stone. You cannot just use a regular poke or a light hit to get through it.

You must use a heavy slam by pressing R1 and R2 at the same time. This combined attack has enough power to smash the structure. If you are close to the Silver Wolf Mountain, this is the main obstacle in your way.

Retrieving the Parcel

Once you break the wall, the water drains out and allows you to continue your Crimson Desert walkthrough. Since the ground is now dry, the Grip mechanic will work again in Crimson Desert.

Grab the Parcel that was previously out of reach and store it in your Kuku Pot if needed. This allows you to finish the cleansing, restore the pillar, and move on to your next objective in Pywel.
