To boost your Research Knowledge in Crimson Desert, you'll want to explore the game's Research Stations scattered throughout the world. Though each station offers distinct rewards, the progression system is generally consistent.

Begin your journey by locating a Researcher at places such as the Pororin Research Institute or the Scholastone Institute within Crimson Desert.

You will not have access to the Research Tree right away. Every NPC requires you to finish a specific Request before you can begin. Once you complete that task, return to the Institute to unlock the first level of research.

How to Gain Knowledge

You must collect knowledge to move forward with your Research Projects. Open your Journal and check the Faction Quest section. You can find entries for groups like the Pororin Forest Guardians or the Gorthak Ironworks Research Institute in Crimson Desert.

Most of the time, these objectives show up on your map as points of interest. You will need to walk around and Observe specific objects or structures.

Sometimes you have to look into the local Culture or study the same things the Researchers are working on. This is the standard way to unlock new tiers for every institute in the game.

Completing the Research Tree

If you see that a final version of a project is missing, there is a requirement you must meet. You have to finish every Level Two research task in that row before the last one opens up.

Since research takes several hours of in-game time, you can Skip Time by sleeping at a camp to finish them faster in Crimson Desert.

It is a simple process to follow: talk to the Researchers, do the observations, and spend your Silver to get the boons you need so you can return to your adventure.
