Entering Hillside Manor

The Hillside Manor is in the main starting town of Hernand. You cannot walk through the front doors, so you must find another way in. Go to the side of the building and look for a window on the top floor. Climb the wall and hang onto the window ledge.

Even in the middle of the day, the Guards will not stop you from opening the window. Once it is open, climb inside to find the Strongbox sitting in the corner of the room in Crimson Desert.

Solving the Strongbox Puzzle

When you interact with the Strongbox, you will see five rotating boards at the bottom. You must rotate them a specific number of times to unlock the device.

If you make a mistake, you can reset the puzzle by rotating every board all the way to the top to start over. Move from the left to the right to enter the code.

First, rotate the leftmost board two times. Next, rotate the second board three times. Move to the middle board and rotate it four times. For the fourth board, rotate it five times.

Finally, rotate the very last board five times. After you set all the boards, press the button at the top right to open the device.

Claiming the Saint's Necklace

Inside the box, you will find a Small Box containing the Saint's Necklace. This is a Rare Necklace that gives you Five Defense and a Vitality Skill. It is a great early game boost, but you can also sell it for a high price if you need money in Crimson Desert.

Before you leave the house, look at the theft bar at the top right of your screen. Stay inside and wait for that bar to disappear completely. If you walk out too early, you will get into trouble with the local authorities. Once the bar is gone, you can leave safely with your new gear.
