Keys are hidden all over Crimson Desert. To find them, keep an eye on your Mini Map; look for the Coin Purse icon in the lower corner.

You'll find these keys on defeated enemy NPCs, lying around, or as prizes for taking down a Boss. You will usually find plenty of them as you explore the Open World.

Types of Keys

There are two main kinds of keys: Jail Keys and Normal Keys. Both work like a Skeleton Key for most doors, but they break after you use them once in Crimson Desert.

While Jail Keys open cells, they often lead to empty rooms. Normal Keys are more helpful because they let you into houses and big Castles where you can find better items. This Crimson Desert Guide helps you understand which ones to keep in your inventory.

How to Use Them

If a door is locked, the game uses a Key from your bag automatically when you try to enter. You can also use Tech Gloves to pick locks if you want to save your items.

Be careful when you pick up a Key from a table or floor, as people might see it as stealing. Once you walk through a locked door, the Key is gone. These Crimson Desert Tips make it easy to loot new areas quickly in Crimson Desert.
