In your travels, you will encounter various items labeled as either Unpacked Trade Goods or Packed Trade Goods.

These items belong to two different economic systems. If you handle them incorrectly, you might lose a significant amount of money. It is important to decide early on whether you want to earn personal silver or focus on building your camp resources.

Unpacked Trade Goods

Unpacked Trade Goods, including items like swords, firearms, or pelts, are kept directly within your personal Inventory.

These items are primarily used to earn Silver for Kliff. To turn these goods into cash that you can spend at shops, you must locate a Black Market Trader.

There is a convenient trader located within the city of Hernand. Selling your items here is the fastest way to increase your personal wealth, especially if you find these goods lying around while exploring in Crimson Desert.

The Packaging Process with Karl

If you choose to support your base instead, you must speak with Karl and navigate to the Manage Provisions menu. Here, you can pay a fee, such as 1,500, to transform your items into Packaged Trade Goods.

Once an item is packaged, it moves from your personal inventory into the Camp Provisions section. Be careful with this decision, as there is currently no way to unpack these items once Karl has processed them.

The Trading System and Camp Gains

The Trading System is a complex feature that benefits your camp rather than providing personal silver. To use it, you must first unlock the Stables and the Wagon Shop at your base in Crimson Desert.

You can load your Packaged Trade Goods onto a horse or a cart. After that, you can scout out places like the Gold Leaf Treehouse to find out what they're buying.

Keep in mind that many traders require a minimum quantity, such as 25 units, before they will accept a deal.

Choosing Your Path

For many, the quickest route is to offload Unpacked Trade Goods to a Black Market Vendor.

The Trading System often requires extensive journeys, sometimes spanning over 3,000 meters, in Crimson Desert, all for a relatively small reward.

If you are focused on quick gains for Kliff, keep your items unpacked. If you're committed to advancing through the endgame camp and have the required supplies on hand, you can bring them to Karl and begin your trading endeavors.
