Accumulating Contribution Points is a savvy move if you're aiming to snag the best gear right from the start. This guide covers how the system works in regions like Hernand and Demeniss and how you can use it to build a stronger character.

What are Contribution Points

In Crimson Desert, Contribution Points act like a local reputation score. Every major region has its own point tally. You gain points by doing good deeds like giving coins to beggars or finishing Main Quests.

However, if you commit crimes like theft or assault, your points will drop. Don’t worry too much if you lose some because you can always earn them back by being helpful to the locals again.

Best Rewards at the Contribution Shop

You can spend your points at a vendor called the Record Keeper of Honor. In Hernand, you can find him right inside the castle. These shops are great because they sell unique items that are often better than what you find at a standard Blacksmith.

You can buy things like the Bolton Plate Armor which is a very solid heavy armor set for beginners. The Hernand Ceremonial Guard Armor is a step up in stats and style if you have extra points in Crimson Desert.

You might also want the Bolton Plate Helm as a reliable piece of gear that can last you deep into the game. Horse Armor is also available and is essential for keeping your mount safe during travel.

Choosing Your Playstyle

Since illegal acts lower your points, it is a good idea to focus on one playstyle at a time. If you want to save up for a specific piece of Plate Armor, stick to being a hero. Complete Commissions and Bounties to fill your bar quickly.

If you want to play as a thief, put on a mask and do all your criminal activity at once. This way, you are not accidentally losing the points you just worked hard to earn.

How to Farm Points Fast

If you want to maximize your gains, look for Requests and Faction Quests on the local notice boards. For a steady flow of points, use your camp mechanics. Look for Greymane Shrines which are small enemy camps scattered around the world. Once you find them, you can send your Greymanes on Dispatch Missions to these locations in Crimson Desert.

Each successful mission can net you 100 Points, making it a very efficient way to farm reputation while you explore other parts of Pywel.
