Gathering rare materials is a vital element of upgrading your gear and constructing your base beneath the water.

Lead is one of the essential materials you will need as you advance, but you won’t find it until you explore the deeper regions far from your starting zone. This guide will tell you exactly where to look so you can load up on this precious resource.

Where to Find Lead Deposits

To harvest Lead you will need to find ore deposits, scattered all over the ocean floor. Start your journey at the floating Lifepod and look at your navigation bar in Subnautica 2.

Set your heading directly northeast to about 60 degrees. Swim in this direction until you reach a massive, broken-down shipwreck resting in the deep water.

Harvesting the Ore

Dive all the way down past the wreckage to the very bottom of the sea floor. The ground surrounding the ship is where you will find the main resource nodes. The area contains small individual pieces you can pick up directly, as well as much larger nodes.

To break open these massive deposits and gather a large amount of resource, you must bring a Sonic Resonator. Keep searching the terrain beneath the wreck, as this zone contains a high concentration of the material in Subnautica 2.
