To unlock the Heat Tolerance Adaptation, complete Viral Blooms and the Angel Comb puzzle. After that, you’ll be able to swim in hot water without losing much health or oxygen. This is how to finish this part of the Blackbox Wanderer mission.

Removing the Parasites

First, make sure you have the Sonic Resonator. You’ll need to find it before you start the Mission, if you don’t have it yet.

Once you are ready, look for the rock formation that looks like a crab and go down the hole. Use your Sonic Resonator to destroy four Viral Blooms in this area to get rid of the parasites.

Navigating to the Angel Comb

After clearing the first group, walk to the left of the plant that has an open mouth. Go this way and round the Angel Comb to the other side. You will find more Viral Blooms here, so use your Sonic Resonator again to clear the infection.

Unlocking the Heat Tolerance Adaptation

Now that the path is clear, head back to the Angel Comb. You must clear the Viral Bloom infection at this spot one final time. Once the area is clean, you can interact with the Angel Comb. It will open up, and you will unlock the Heat Tolerance Adaptation.
