To make Strong Acid you have to find Necrolysis material. It is a resource that you have to get before you build your first upgrade level. You can find this resource without Advanced Tools or High-Tech Gear.

Just make sure you bring along your basic Harvesting Tool. If you have equipment to increase your swimming speed, put it on to make the trip faster.

Traveling to the Purple Biome

Start your journey at the floating Lifepod. Use the pod as your main navigation point and swim directly toward the north-northwest. Keep heading in this direction until the environment around you starts to change.

You will know you are in the right area when the terrain changes and you see completely different plants and creatures. There is an infection mission located out in this direction, so you might run into that objective while you explore in Subnautica 2.

Harvesting the Resource

Keep moving northwest until you spot massive purple structures. These large plants are your main target. Look closely at the stalks to find small, fruit-like Pods floating on little sticks. You can find clusters of them scattered along the sides of the nearby cliffs.

Swim up to the very top of the plant where the small Flower is. Use the Harvesting Tool directly on the flower to collect the material.
