Sulfur is a Resource that is useful for many things and you can stock up on it without moving far from your home base.

Preparing for the Trip

Before you leave, make sure you have your Heat Resistance ability. You will need it to survive in the area where the Sulfur grows. It is a good upgrade to have because it lets you explore much safer in warm zones in Subnautica 2.

Locating the Resource

Start at your Lifepod and set your compass to a heading between 110 and 115 degrees. Travel about 250 meters in that direction.

You will see a tall rock pillar standing on top of a large boulder. This is your target. You will find Sulfur stuck all over this pillar.

How to Harvest

For the large pieces, use your Blaster to break them off. Do not worry if you do not have that tool yet. There are plenty of smaller chunks attached to the sides of the pillar that you can pick up by hand. Take your time to search every side of this rock.

If you still need more, check the other pillars in the warm zone. Most of them have small amounts of Sulfur on the sides as well. You can easily fill your inventory here if you bring your Blaster and check all the surrounding rocks in Subnautica 2.
