Subnautica 2 Guide | How to Get Lithium

Here’s a guide on how to get Lithium in Subnautica 2.

You can get Lithium from lots of places in Subnautica 2. Some spots need gear you might not have yet. Here is a way to grab a bunch of Lithium right at the start.

Where to Go

Hop out of your Pod and head southwest. Keep going until you find a ledge. Follow the side of the mountain down. Look for some tall, pointy rocks poking out of the ground. When you see them, check the deeper water to your left or right. You will see a giant Clam.

How to Get the Loot

The Clam works like a Venus Fly Trap. Make sure you have plenty of air before you swim in. It helps if you have upgrades for your tank. Swim to the middle of the Clam in Subnautica 2.

You will see some red strings. Stay away from them. If you touch the strings, the Clam will close up and poison you. Once you are inside, use your Blaster to knock the Lithium pieces off the wall.

Stay Out of Trouble

Watch your aim when you use the Blaster. The recoil can push you backward into the red strings. If you trip the trap, the Clam will start to close.

Try to leave the way you came. You will get poisoned if you get stuck inside, but you will not die if your health is full. The Clam will open back up after a while, so you can swim out then in Subnautica 2.
