To gather resources from the massive ore veins in Subnautica 2, you must build the Sonic Resonator. This device shatters the heavy blocks when you hold down your right-click button. You can unlock it by progressing through the main plot.

The story eventually leads you to a base called Welcome Home. Look for this old residential zone during the second or third Blackbox Mission in Subnautica 2.

Accessing the Base

Find the main entryway to the structure and press the switch to head inside. Do not panic about your air supply while exploring. Just climb the ladder directly ahead of you to find a spot where you can safely breathe. Once your oxygen tank is full, go right back down the ladder.

Scanning the Tool Pieces

Make sure you have your Scanner ready. At the bottom of the ladder, you will spot a fragment of the Sonic Resonator.

Scan it, then look around the immediate area to find and scan the second piece. You can occasionally stumble across these parts in deep caves, but this building is a guaranteed spot to finish the blueprint.

Unlocking the Processor

Near that same ladder, you will also find a machine called the Processor. Scan this unit so you can use it later. It allows you to take ordinary Scrap Metal and small bits of Titanium and pack them into Titanium Ingots in Subnautica 2.

After you secure all the scans, head back to your home base. Fabricate the Sonic Resonator before you focus on building any submarines. It makes collecting your raw materials a lot quicker.
