The Black Night Kubo Bounty is a Quest you can undertake in the Teshio Ridge region of Ghost of Yōtei. This guide provides details on how to locate the Bounty, summon and defeat Black Night Kubo, and claim your rewards after completing the fight.

Unlocking Black Night Kubo Bounty

You can unlock the Black Night Kubo Bounty from the beginning of your playthrough. It is available by default at the Red Crane Inn Bounty Board, so you can accept it without meeting any special requirements.

Location of Black Night Kubo

To reach the duel ring where you will encounter Black Night Kubo, start at the Red Crane Inn and travel northeast toward the Sentinel Forest. Once you arrive at the forest, move further to the south side until you find a small open area marked by a Straw Mat in Ghost of Yōtei.

This location is close to the edge of Teshio Ridge. Dense bamboo trees surround the area, and you will notice lamp posts leading into the Black Night Duel Ring.

Preparing to Summon Black Night Kubo

You need to wear Black-Colored Armor to summon Black Night Kubo. Any Armor in the game is acceptable as long as it is Black, and you can use dyes to change your preferred Armor to meet this requirement. After changing into Black Armor, look for the wooden blocks near one of the lamp posts and interact with them to begin the summoning process in Ghost of Yōtei.

If you wish to use a different Armor set for the fight, you can switch back after Black Night Kubo appears. As soon as the battle begins, open your inventory and equip your preferred Armor.

Summoning and Defeating Black Night Kubo

Once you interact with the wooden blocks while wearing Black Armor, Black Night Kubo will appear and engage you in combat immediately. Defeat him to complete the Bounty.

Bounty Completion Rewards

After defeating Black Knight Kubo, return to Kojiro the Bounty Broker at the Yōtei Shadow Inn to claim your rewards. For completing this Bounty, you will receive the Black Knight Kubo's Mask and 750 Coins.
