The Cave Altar of Reflection in Ghost of Yōtei is one of the hidden locations where you can unlock techniques to enhance your character’s Abilities.

This guide explains how to find the exact location of the Altar and how to reach it efficiently once you have placed the Traveler’s Map for the Cave Altar.

Placing the Traveler’s Map

Before you can find the Cave Altar, make sure you have placed the Traveler’s Map – Cave Altar. This map needs to be positioned in the middle section of your in-game map to mark the area where the Altar can be found. Once placed, you will be able to head toward the marked spot in Ghost of Yōtei.

Locating the Altar

When you arrive at the location indicated by the map, you may find it slightly challenging to spot the Altar immediately. The Altar is hidden within a cluster of trees on top of a small hill. As you approach the front area of the mountain, you will see a prompt to bow down.

This spot may seem like the location of the Altar, but it is misleading. The actual Cave Altar is not there; instead, it is positioned around the back side of the hill.

To reach it, move around to the rear of the hill and climb down into the Cave entrance. This will lead you directly to the hidden Altar in Ghost of Yōtei.

Accessing the Altar of Reflection

Inside the Cave, you will find the Altar of Reflection. Approach it and bow down to unlock a new technique. After you finish at the Altar, you can either climb back up through the entrance you came from or choose to break open the bamboo wall inside the Cave to create an alternate exit in Ghost of Yōtei.
