In Ghost of Yōtei, the Shiro the Swindler Bounty is a special mission available in the Ishikari Plain region. This guide will help you understand how to unlock the Bounty, locate key areas, confront enemies, and collect your rewards.

Unlocking Shiro the Swindler Bounty

To start the Shiro the Swindler Bounty, you first need to complete several other bounties in Ishikari Plain in Ghost of Yōtei.

Once this requirement is met, proceed to Ishikari Market and locate Kojiro, the Bounty Broker, outside the market. Interact with Kojiro, and he will offer you a special Bounty, which is the mission to track down Shiro the Swindler. Accepting his task will begin the Bounty.

Locating Yokai's Nest and Shiro

The Bounty is located at Yokai's Nest, situated far north of Ishikari Market. Open your map and select the Shiro the Swindler Bounty to activate tracking, and follow the Guiding Wind to the location.

As you explore the northern region, continue until you reach the Jigoku Fortress. Near the edge of the map, you will find a small campsite. Investigate the campsite, and this will trigger your first encounter with Shiro in Ghost of Yōtei.

Meeting Shiro and Infiltrating Jigoku Fortress

When you meet Shiro, he will propose a deal. He asks you to help him infiltrate Jigoku Fortress and promises to share the wealth once the fortress is conquered.

You can choose to approach the mission either by sneaking through the fortress or engaging the enemies directly at the gates. Continue raiding the fortress, clearing each area carefully, until there is nowhere left to explore.

Confronting Commander Kudo

After you have cleared the fortress, a cutscene will show Commander Kudo entering the area to challenge Atsu and Shiro. You will need to defeat Commander Kudo in combat. Once the fight concludes, Shiro will have already left the fortress. He leaves behind a Mask and the exact price of his Bounty, marking the completion of the mission in Ghost of Yōtei.

Bounty Completion Rewards

Completing the Bounty successfully rewards you with the Sly Thief Mask and 1500 Coins. Remember that the Shiro the Swindler Bounty can only be accepted once other bounties in Ishikari Plain have been completed. Speak to Kojiro the Bounty Broker to begin the Bounty whenever the requirements are met in Ghost of Yōtei.
