The Black Powder Ippei Bounty is a Quest available in the YōteiGrasslands region of Ghost of Yōtei. This guide explains how to unlock the Bounty, where to find Black Powder Ippei, and what steps to follow to defeat him and claim your reward.

Unlocking Black Powder Ippei Bounty

The Black Powder Ippei Bounty will not appear on the board while you are still working on the Saito Compound. You must first clear the Saito Compound and complete the Bounty for Muneji the Bone Crusher to make Black Powder Ippei’s Bounty available in Ghost of Yōtei.

Once both tasks are completed, go to the Yōtei Shadow Inn, where you will find the Bounty board near Kojiro the Bounty Broker. Interact with the board to accept the Black Powder Ippei Bounty along with any other available bounties.

Location of Black Powder Ippei

The Bounty will take you to Windy Meadow, located southwest of the Yōtei Shadow Inn. After accepting the Bounty, you can select Black Powder Ippei from your map to track the Quest, and the guiding wind will lead you directly to the location in Ghost of Yōtei.

When you reach the area near Windy Meadow, continue exploring until the location name changes to Hilltop Watchtower or you notice fire projectiles in the distance. Move toward the direction where the rockets are being fired to locate Black Powder Ippei and his allies.

Encountering Black Powder Ippei

You will find Black Powder Ippei positioned alongside his men, launching cannon fire from an uphill area southwest of Windy Meadow. Approach the area filled with fire and explosions to trigger the encounter.

Black Powder Ippei will initiate the fight immediately. Since he is a large enemy, regular attacks will not often disrupt his movements. Focus on a defensive approach by dealing with his allies first to reduce incoming attacks, then target Black Powder Ippei until he is defeated in Ghost of Yōtei.

Bounty Completion Rewards

After defeating Black Powder Ippei, return to Kojiro the Bounty Broker at the Yōtei Shadow Inn to claim your rewards. For completing this bounty, you will receive the Black Powder Ippei’s Mask and 750 Coins.
