Completing Soma the Condemned’s Bounty in Ghost of Yōtei allows you to get the Bounty Master’s Armor Set, which can be equipped after the mission.

Locating Soma the Condemned

Begin by accepting the Bounty for Soma the Condemned. The target is found at Lake Jozan, so open your map and mark the location. Once the area is marked, call your horse and follow the guiding wind to reach the destination in Ghost of Yōtei.

On the way to Soma the Condemned, you may be confronted by a Bounty hunter. If that happens, engage in combat and defeat the Bounty hunter. After the fight, you will be able to speak to this individual.

Once the conversation ends, you will be given the choice to pick a topic, which will unlock a new location and grant you a new Weapon depending on your preference. Select based on the Weapon you prefer.

Once you have handled the encounter, continue on your journey to Lake Jozan. Upon arrival, use it as your reference point before proceeding further in Ghost of Yōtei.

Reaching Soma the Condemned

From Lake Jozan, head towards the entrance that leads to Soma the Condemned’s location. The path leads you to a nearby Cavern. Before entering the Cavern, you will encounter other enemies who are also after the Bounty. Eliminate these enemies to clear the way.

Proceed inside and move up the steps until you reach a large wooden door. Interact with the door to examine it. After the examination, remain in place as you will be prompted to swipe left on your touchpad to play the Song of Soma. Doing so will cause your character to play the song, and the door will open, granting you access inside.

Preparing for the Boss Fight

Continue further into the area, and you will come across another entrance to your left. You can open this side path to save time for any future return to the location in Ghost of Yōtei.

Next, move towards a bamboo wall ahead. Break down the bamboo wall to access the room beyond it, where Soma the Condemned awaits.

Defeating Soma the Condemned

The boss fight against Soma the Condemned requires focus. The enemy performs multiple chained attacks in quick succession, so prepare to defend and counter effectively. As the battle progresses, Soma the Condemned will switch to using a Spear, changing the attack pattern in Ghost of Yōtei.

It is advisable to rely on blocking and parrying to manage most of the attacks. Once you identify an opening, counter with your own strikes using the dual katanas to deal damage. Continue this pattern until you defeat the boss.

Claiming the Reward

You will get the Bounty Master's Armor Set after beating Soma the Condemned. You can wear it right away or save it for later use. Go back to Kojiro to claim your Bounty payment in Ghost of Yōtei.
