Dynasty Warriors: Origins is one of the bold steps taken in this already beloved series, which clearly deviates from norms and ideas that have emerged and entertained for several decades in the hack-and-slash genre. This guide covers the Emperor Xian Rescue, which is relatively easy but takes some insight to complete with the best results.

The goal here is to escort Emperor Xian’s carriage safely to the escape point while keeping its health above 70% and completing the mission within 20 minutes. The time limit is generous, so an efficient strategy is key.

At the start, head to the carriage, as it’s under attack by high-morale enemies. Clear them out quickly to minimize damage to the carriage. The carriage won’t move until allied forces rendezvous with it, so ensure nearby allies are freed from combat.

I cleared the map but delayed the carriage’s movement by neglecting to assist the bottom group of allies. Avoid this by prioritizing ally rescue. Clear all neutral NPCs and enemies to ensure they can reach the carriage.

Once the carriage starts moving, escort it along the cleared path. When Jia Xu and his reinforcements arrive, run ahead and defeat them before they threaten the carriage. After safely delivering the carriage to the escape point, ensure its health is above 70%. Then, defeat Hua Xin and Guo Si to complete the stage. This mission is manageable even at slightly lower levels with proper planning.

These stages are approachable with the right strategy. Focus on efficient routing, ally support, and prioritizing key objectives to secure success.
