Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a bold step in this beloved series, deviating from traditional norms of the hack-and-slash genre while maintaining its iconic appeal.

This guide covers the Battle of Ye and the Battle of Mount Bailang. Each stage presents its own challenges. I'll break down each stage, offering tips and strategies to help you navigate through them efficiently.

Battle of Ye

In this battle, you're required to defeat Liu Fu and Shen Rong before the bases in the South get captured. You'll need to complete it swiftly to prevent them from escaping.

When you start, you can select one of two approaches, one being assisting Xun Yu's assault from behind and the latter being defeating the three initial enemies before waiting for Xun Yu to attack. And when he does initiate his attack, you'll be able to cross the river safely, allowing the siege to proceed.

From what I've experienced, the most efficient way of dealing with this battle is taking down Liu Fu and Shen Rong to eliminate them as fast as you can. Whilst your allies are safe initially, as the battle goes on, there is a risk of NPC allies being overwhelmed. I suggest using a bravery boost or attack enhancement to speed up the process so that you can finish the objective within the given time frame.

Once you finish the challenge, the rest of the battle continues normally, and the final fight with Yan Shuang and Yuan Tan is relatively easy. When you defeat them, Yuan Shao betrays his forces and retreats to a place where he can be intercepted.

Battle of Mount Bailang

The battle of Mount Bailing gives you 20 minutes to defeat Yan Shuang. The given time is plentiful, and you'll be able to defeat Yan Shuang without having to worry too much.

Yan Shuang's focuses are supported by Wuhuan's; you can approach them by moving toward the right side of the map. I recommend supporting allied forces like Cao Cao before heading towards Yan Shuang so that the fight becomes easier.

When you're at Yan Shaung's base, dealing with his cavalry can be tricky, as they tend to interrupt your attacks. That's when I would use AOE attacks. Also, if you assist Tian Chou first, the number of reinforcements that Yan Shuang gets will be reduced, so you should keep that in mind.

If his forces grow too strong, eliminating enemy reinforcements before engaging him provides an advantage. The best approach involves controlling the battlefield before the final confrontation, ensuring that allied morale remains high throughout the battle.
