Whether you are new or you've played this before, be sure to use the techniques outlined in this guide to meet the challenges while enjoying the trip.

Stage 1: Guangyang

Guangyang serves as the opening stage of the game, introducing you to its mechanics and strategies. Your primary objective is to keep all volunteer soldiers alive—a relatively simple task, thanks to improved AI that allows your units to hold their ground even when left alone.

There are four volunteer soldiers on the map. The two at the bottom of the map are pretty easy to save, but the top ones need a bit more care. If the enemy starts advancing, the northern ones are in most jeopardy, so get there quickly. Secure these as soon as possible before moving to the bottom soldiers. Providing this is done right; all should be safe enough to consider the rest of the map clear.

However, a word of caution: commanders in the hardest difficulty will activate their True Ultimate Musou attack at least once before you can defeat them. While it’s unlikely that your volunteers will fall, this attack can create hazardous situations. Stay vigilant and ensure the soldiers aren’t caught in the crossfire. Overall, this stage is straightforward and should take only one attempt to clear.

Stage 2: Yingchuan

Yingchuan presents a slightly more demanding challenge, requiring you to conquer all bases and claim victory within 9 Minutes. Preparation is key here. Equip accessories that speeds up base captures to save valuable time. Familiarize yourself with the map to plan your route efficiently, focusing on reaching and destroying vases in each base.

Begin by capturing the first base and quickly moving to the next vase location. Defeat enemies swiftly, ensuring you use a weapon with high efficiency or useful attributes like parry. Time is tight, so avoid unnecessary distractions. Equip items like an Attack or Bravery boost to enhance your combat effectiveness, especially when dealing with generals.

Focus on defeating the key general, Zhang Jiao. Like other commanders, he will trigger his Ultimate Musou attack, but his fortitude gauge is manageable. Stay aggressive to minimize delays, and you should meet the time challenge comfortably. Avoid lingering to rescue allied soldiers unless their morale is critically low; they’re generally capable of holding their own.

If you're having issues with the time limit in Yingchuan, be sure you have the proper accessories and a solid weapon; with practice and preparation, you will have a much easier time making a successful and fun journey through Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
