Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a bold step in this beloved series, deviating from traditional norms of the hack-and-slash genre while maintaining its iconic appeal.

This guide covers the subjugation of Lujiang and Huang Zu; both are easy but require some understanding for the best results.

Lujiang

The subjugation of Lujiang is more straightforward than it initially appears. The objective is to defeat Liu Xun without breaking through the main castle gate. This can be confusing due to the multiple gates in the area. The "Main Castle Gate" refers to the one with the ramp.

To complete the objective, take the trail on the eastern side of the map. Defeat Ma Zhong in a duel to open the gate from the back. The back gate is not considered a "Castle Gate," so the challenge remains valid. Avoid using ladders or siege ramps. Clear enemies along the way, defeat the guard at the back gate, and proceed to Liu Xun’s location. Eliminate the guard at his gate and defeat him to finish the challenge easily.

Huang Zu

The challenge here is to ensure Ling Tong survives. This requires reaching him quickly and defeating the enemy commander. Ling Tong and his father launched an assault on Huang Zu’s base, but Gan Ning was a formidable opponent who had multiple true Musou attacks. His strength threatens both Ling Tong and Sun Quan.

Emphasizing early control of the map, clear enemies near the main camp before making a dash for Ling Tong. In order to stall the gatekeeper, use your guards or companions so that the gate will be opened quickly. Clear the camp swiftly and provide support to Ling Tong before the wave overruns him. The fight against Gan Ning is vicious, so attack and defense boosts are a must-have. With proper strategy, Ling Tong and Sun Quan can hold their positions long enough to secure victory.

The subjugation of Lujiang and Huang Zu is relatively simple in execution, although it demands good planning. Strong enemy generals and keeping one's own allies alive mainly pose challenges. However, with a sound strategy and some timely decisions, these conquests may be easily completed.
