Dynasty Warriors: Origins is a bold step in this beloved series, deviating from traditional norms of the hack-and-slash genre while maintaining its iconic appeal.

This guide covers the Battle of Guadu. Each stage presents its own challenges. I'll break down each stage, offering tips and strategies to help you navigate through them efficiently.

In this battle, you're told to defeat Yuan Shao without allowing Zhang He's forces to disband. You'll need to avoid direct contact with Zhang He's forces whilst focusing on Yuan Shao. There are many ways you can approach this, but I would recommend rushing Yuan Shao.

An alternate approach would be if you were to capture Wuchao in the top right corner of the map before you engage with Yan Shao. This method lowers enemy morale, weakening Yuan Shao's forces and making the fight easier. But I wouldn't go far to say that this significantly reduces the overall difficulty. You could also take out the two bases on the western side of the map before engaging in the fight.

Securing Wuchao before approaching Yuan Shao prevents the enemy morale from increasing, and you wouldn't want that as supply units would continue reinforcing the enemy front line, overwhelming your allied forces. Prioritize using AOE attacks to help you clear large groups of enemies surrounding Yuan Shao, and timing your Ultimate Musou is Key, considering the fact that the fight has a lot of opponents.

Even though Yuan Shao is heavily guarded, I would still recommend taking him on directly instead of his sons to prevent wasting precious time. Focusing on him while controlling the crowd would ensure completing the challenge before time runs out.
