Dynasty Warriors: Origins Guide | Top 10 Weapons
Here's a Top 10 Weapons list for Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
Game Guide by Joyramen on Jan 19, 2025
Welcome to another Dynasty Warriors: Origins guide! In this guide, we’ll rank all ten weapons in the game from worst to best. This tier list reflects my personal experience, considering factors like Battle Arts, Utility, and overall Effectiveness. Even the lowest-ranked weapons have their merits, but some stand out as far superior. With that said, let’s dive into the list, starting from the bottom.
10. Lance
The Lance ranks lowest due to its lackluster Battle Arts. While its unique charge-attack mechanic is flashy and fun, the Battle Arts don’t hit hard enough to justify their Bravery cost. For heavy damage, you may end up replacing its Battle Arts with better options like Ice Luan. The Lance is functional but not outstanding.
9. Staff
The Staff has better Battle Arts than the Lance, but its damage output falls short compared to higher-tier weapons. Its strength lies in its speed and mobility, making it easy to maneuver in combat. However, its strong attack, which requires holding down a button, is easily interrupted, limiting its reliability in chaotic battles.
8. Twin Pikes
The Twin Pikes excel at clearing bases with rapid, strong attack combos but fall short in single-target damage. Its standout Battle Art, Sky Sunder, delivers massive damage but is expensive and tricky to land due to limited range and lack of crowd control.
7. Podao
A solid weapon with strong passive damage potential. The Sea of Flames Battle Art is a highlight, allowing you to melt enemy health bars over time. While its charge-focused mechanics are satisfying, they leave you vulnerable in large-scale battles.
6. Long Dao
Known for its versatility, the Long Dao boasts powerful Battle Arts like Great Mountain Throw and Azure Dragon Bellow. Its major drawback is its slow attack speed, but its AOE capabilities and utility make it effective in many situations.
5. Sword
The Sword is fast, versatile, and equipped with the Divine Eagle Dance, a reliable Battle Art for sustained damage. While its Battle Arts aren’t as strong as others, the sword’s unblockable moves and speed make it a favorite for consistent performance.
4. Gauntlets
With incredible combo potential, the Gauntlets offer devastating damage through Battle Arts like Heaven and Earth’s Wrath. Its weakness lies in range, but its ability to exploit enemies at a distance and quickly clear bases secures its high ranking.
3. Spear
The Spear shines with its top-tier Battle Arts like Dragon Flash, which immediately puts enemies into a vulnerable state. Its balance of AOE, damage, and utility makes it one of the most effective weapons in the game.
2. Wheels
The Wheels stand out for their unmatched residual damage and combo capabilities. With Battle Arts like Twin Tiger Blast, this weapon excels at dealing consistent, high AOE damage, making it a strong contender for the top spot.
1. Halberd
The Halberd dominates due to its incredible versatility, power, and utility. Battle Arts like Sky Rusher and Hell Raiser do devastating damage at low Bravery costs. Its normal attacks are nearly unstoppable, making it a reliable choice even on the hardest difficulty.
These rankings are based on extensive playtime and testing. While every weapon has its strengths, the Halberd, Wheels, and Spear stand out as the best options to enjoy conquering Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
