In Ghost of Yōtei, you can access the Snow Drift Springs Hideout or progress through The Path Of The Kusarigama Quest by completing a small Puzzle located near the Coastal structures.

When you arrive in the area, you may find yourself blocked by a section that appears difficult to cross. To move forward, you must solve the Puzzle involving several Fox Statues positioned near a pond in Ghost of Yōtei.

Collecting The Flame

Begin by heading toward the nearby door-shaped structure. There, you will find several Flames that you can pick up. Take one of these flames and proceed toward the pond ahead. In front of this pond, you will see three Fox Statues arranged in a pattern.

Each Statue represents a specific posture, and your task is to light the Statues that match the one displayed on the pond’s surface in Ghost of Yōtei.

Solving The Statue Puzzle

Observe the reflection in the pond. The first visible Statue is the Fox Leaning Upwards with an object in its mouth. Light the corresponding Statue that matches this form. After that, move to the other side, where you will find the Fox Sitting Down holding a stick in its mouth. Light this Statue next to progress further in the Puzzle.

Once both have been lit, locate the final Statue, which is positioned higher up in the area. This one represents the Fox Completely Down, resting on the ground. Use your flame to light this Statue as well.

After all three Statues have been activated, a mechanism will trigger, and the path ahead will open, allowing you to proceed through the Snow Drift Springs Hideout in Ghost of Yōtei.
